Welcome to the introductory edition of The Survive & Thrive Newsletter, starting our series: support for summer.

We are delighted to be bringing this newsletter to our valued community.

Katie and Kate know firsthand how incredibly heavy, chaotic, and isolating it can feel to parent a child with additional needs, neurodivergence, or mental health challenges. Day in and day out, we are juggling an impossible number of moving parts, and by the time the week catches up with us, our own battery is often running on empty.

Because your time and energy are so precious, we want to invite you to gift yourself just a couple of minutes each week to pause, focus on your own needs, and read through what we share.

 

Moving forward, our newsletter will land in your inbox every week through the summer holidays with a quick, bite-sized reflection. We will be sharing short, practical insights, reassuring perspectives, and simple journal prompts designed entirely to help you navigate the stress, protect your boundaries, and show yourself some well-deserved grace.

We are both big fans of writing about our thoughts and feelings and in our workshops, we use journalling prompts to help our members process some of the intensity of the what's happening in their lives. If you can find even a couple of minutes to put pen to paper, we are sure you will find this beneficial.

We'd love you to consider our newslettter as a weekly permission slip to step away from the caregiving role, if only for a brief moment, and check in on you.
